To give your hit more power, shift your body weight to your back foot. If you are a right-handed batter, then you will want to have all your weight on the right foot, and tighten your thigh muscle in that leg, too. You will gain a lot of power from that back foot.
When pitching the ball, you need to learn how to properly hold and throw the ball. Start off by gripping the seams of the baseball with your middle finger. Next, place the other seam directly under your thumb. This will help you grip the ball properly, allowing you to maximize your speed, distance and accuracy.

Watch the batter when playing the outfield. Generally speaking, you’ll see more balls headed for left field when there’s a right-handed batter on the plate. Lefties do the opposite. Knowing these basic things helps you predict the ball’s direction.
Make sure your mitt is broken in ahead of the season. When you get a new glove, be sure to work it out for a couple of weeks. Throw your ball into the glove to loosen it up. Leather softener should be used to break the leather in. Hit the laces with a fist. You can practice better with a glove that has been broken in.
You could easily lose the ball in the lights above the field. In order to keep you from seeing spots, you must know how to look for the ball without staring at the sun or stadium lights. Block the lights with your glove at all times.
Use your mitt to block the sun if the baseball heads your way but the sun blinds you. Keeping your glove above the level of your eyes will block the brightness, and still allows you to keep an eye on the ball.
If you play first base and want to use your stretch to the utmost, then keep the foot on the side of your throwing hand glued to the base. Extend your arm to the ball, step with the opposite foot toward the baseball and keep stretching to reach the base.
