You probably love soccer, but if you want to be successful with it, you need to find out more about it. While soccer is enjoyable, it takes lots of hard work to perform great tricks. This sport is all about teamwork, and here you’ll find some tips to start you out.
An important skill to become familiar with is called the “Outside Elastico.” When you are on the flanks, the Outside Elastico is a great way to cut back to the inside. Practice this by placing a shoe, bag or cone on the ground. Begin the maneuver about five running steps behind the opponent. Start dribbling towards the cone. As you get closer to the cone, tap the ball outside then tap it in quick motion back to the inner part. That outside tapping is what will trick the opposition. The second touch should be more powerful so you can correct the trajectory of the ball.
The best players find every opportunity to practice their skills. Take a soccer ball along with you no matter where you are and when you get a free period, try doing some drills. You will be able to just practice dribbling the ball if you’re needing to walk to a place.
If you’re seeing too much action where you are with the ball, pass it to someone who isn’t surrounded by action. That will give them time as the defenders approach them to figure out what to do next.
Take the opposing players by surprise whenever possible. All good players know how to take advantage of an opponent’s weakness, especially if you’re doing the same thing over and over again. Keep the other team on their toes by making unexpected but effective moves, like kicking the ball behind you, when you are in danger of losing the ball.
Heed the advice you’ve just been given if you want to become a better player. Even though you may think you’ve learned a lot, there is always another aspect of the game that can be learned. When you continue to practice, you will see how great you can become.
